Over the years the hotel has proudly received multiple awards for its cleanliness, value for money and for its service.
Hotel Astali first opened its doors in 1978 with 21 rooms. After its operation 15 new rooms were added in 1981, three major renovations took place. One in 1996, a second one in 2005-2006 and the last one in 2014-2015, as well as continuous improvements every year.
Its name originates from the ancient Astali or Atali which was in the area were Bali is today and it was the port of the ancient city of Axos.
Located in the city center is the ideal location from which you can begin your day exploring the fascinating city of Rethymno. A five minute walk will get you to the sea front and the long sandy beach of Rethymno.
It is walking distance from the main market with all the clothing and souvenir shops as well as super markets and newsstands. Along the sea side there are numerous bars, coffee shops and restaurants both traditional and international cuisine.
